The Seppala Siberian Sleddog is a natural dog derived from early 20th century native sled dogs of Siberia. These Siberian ancesters were formed from hard pulling, fast travel over moderate distances and life in a harsh arctic environment. Preservation and advancement of the physical and mental characteristics necessary to be a superior sled dog, and formation of a friendly, responsive personality, were top priorities for Leonard Seppala, Harry Wheeler, William Shearer and Donnie McFaul for the Seppalas first 50 years of existence in North America. Seppalta has continued that heritage for over 30 years. For a brief history of the Seppala Siberian sleddog, go to "What is a Seppala". We have been involved in more than 100 performance motivated breedings and have won nearly that many races over the years. Now we are replacing most of the racing with pleasure tours in the mountains and the breedings to an occasional litter from race proven stock. Occasionally, we will have trained adults, bred bitches, breedable pairs and young pups for sale at very reasonable prices, or even free to mushers of pleasant disposition and good will.
